Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers
in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

High School Mission Trip with CSM San Francisco: July 28- August 3
For registration information email email@example.com
High School, Grades 9-12:
Home Groups: We meet in Home Groups on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm throughout the school year. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be connected with a group!
UNITED: All of our High School Home Groups come together for a big worship celebration on the first Wednesday of the month at Redeemer Church in room G1!
The mission of a home group is to connect a small group of students and leaders so that they may grow and walk together in faith. Much as our Community Groups, students have the opportunity to converse about the message, apply the lesson, and pray for each other while creating strong bonds through fun and fellowship.
Meet the Leaders:
Apple Valley West: Adrienne Gillespie & Wesley Imlay
Adrienne has been married for 24 years to her college sweetheart, Chris. Together they have 3 children: Brooke 22, Graham 20, and Brennan 15. Adrienne teaches Chinese students English online and is an Instructional Assistant to Kindergarteners. She has worked in youth ministry for 7 years and loves to serve with youth because she believes all of us who have been Christians for a while have a responsibility to pour into the next generation. She says, “I have kids and love it when other adults love them, encourage them, and point them to Jesus. I want to do that for others too.”
Adrienne’s hobbies are reading and hiking. Just hanging out with her family!
Wes has been married for 7 years to his beautiful wife, Chesaray. They have 4 young children; 3 biologically and 1 that they are fostering but hope to adopt! Their kiddos are Link, Bear, Finn and Zayla. Wes makes a living through flight test engineering, primarily focused on commercial jet engine testing. He has been serving in youth ministry for 2 years and enjoys it because he knows that the Holy Spirit is at work in the souls of young Christians, softening their hearts to receive deep Gospel truths about the glory of God. She says, “It is my joy and hope to know that Christ is using his church to make these students passionate for his glory, prioritizing Gods kingdom when making decisions about what to do after high school!”
Wes loves puzzles, reading, and coffee.
Apple Valley East: Nick & Staci Gaspar
Nick and Staci have been married for 7 years and have 3 children: Nathaniel age 5, Noelle age 3, and Kimberly age 1. Nick is ateacher at Victor Valley Union High School District. He’s been teaching English to High Schoolers for 11 years and also coaches the cross-country team at Adelanto High School. Staci, in this season of raising young children, has had the opportunity to stay at home and enjoy these short, sweet years with their young children. Nick and Staci have been serving in Youth Ministry for 7 years together. Staci’s faith was greatly impacted by her high school small group leader. She says, “I have seen the value of investing in the lives of youth, and what the Lord can do when you trust Him to equip you. And an added bonus is that I get to serve the Lord alongside my husband.” Nick loves serving with youth because he knows God has given him the ability to teach, interact with, and mentor students. Nick says, “I know that right now God is giving my own children leaders in children's ministry and I want to be a leader who is able to partner with parents in helping their children to grow up knowing and loving Christ.”
Nick enjoys running, watching (and attempting) to play sports like soccer, Disneyland and amusement parks with his family, playing Nintendo Switch with Staci and the kids and of course, Wednesday Night Youth Group!
Staci loves crafting! She has dabbled in crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, calligraphy, and generally making cute things. She loves spending time outside and has grown to appreciate the beauty that is in the desert. Vacations with her family would also be considered a favorite hobby.
Victorville & Hesperia Group: Serena & Jeremy Henderson & Ashley Dole
Jeremy and Serena have been married for 3 years and have 2 rambunctious boys. Jeremy is currently working for a flood restoration company while also working toward becoming a teacher. Serena is the Assistant Retail Manager, but her dream is to be a Sign Language Interpreter. Jeremy and Serena have served in various Youth Ministries from Elementary all the way through High School for about 3 years now. Jeremy and Serena are both passionate about serving in Youth and love the way they are seeing their group grow! Serena says, “Growing up with a rocky childhood, I want to help lead our youth down a different past and towards Christ!” While Jeremy says, “I would have to say my favorite part of working with students has to be the wisdom I (sometimes) hear from these kids. One minute they’re seeing how many cheese puffs they can fit into their mouths at one time and the next minute they’re discussing forgiveness in a manor more mature than some adults.”
Jeremy enjoys woodworking, kayaking, hunting, and fishing when he’s not doing the Cheeto Challenge with Youth Students.
Serena’s hobbies include going to the gym, makeup, reading and being a mommy and wife!
Ashley is a substitute teacher and has been leading youth ministry for 2 years! Ashley says that she loves serving with youth because, “In a world that is coPermission_Slip.pdfnstantly attacking our youth and trying to turn them away from God, it’s amazing to see the passion our students have for each other and the word.”
In her free time, Ashley enjoys baking, crocheting, embroidery, and reading!
